Christie is most outstanding on Div. II all-tournament team

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ashley Christie, who scored 20 points in Kettering Alter's state championship win over Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown, is the most outstanding player on the 2008 Associated Press Division II all-tournament team.

Christie, a senior, hit 7-of-10 shots from the field including 3-of-4 3-pointers, making 3s on three consecutive trips down the court to help the Knights build a 14-point lead that they lost, and then later regained to win 60-46 on Monday.

Joining her on the all-tournament team is teammate Courtney Chihil (20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists in two state tournament games); Hathaway Brown's Angela Groves (33 points, 19 rebounds, 12 blocked shots in two games) and Mylan Woods (31 points, 14 rebounds in two games); and Lima Bath's Rachel Mauk (18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists in a semifinal loss).
